About
Dufferin Islands is a serene 10-hectare park consisting of four interconnected islands just upstream from the Horseshoe Falls. Connected by bridges and trails, it offers a quiet escape from the Falls crowds with picnic areas, fishing, bird watching, and beautiful water views. During the Winter Festival of Lights, the islands are illuminated with dazzling displays.
Our Story
Originally used for industrial mill operations in the 1800s, Dufferin Islands were restored to a natural parkland by the Niagara Parks Commission in the early 1900s, creating a tranquil island oasis.
