Accessibility
The Chedoke Radial Trail itself is a wide, level, crushed-stone path suitable for strollers and some wheelchairs. However, the stairs and the rugged terrain leading toward the falls are not accessible.
Parking
Free public parking is available at the Chedoke Civic Golf Course (Beddoe Drive) at the bottom of the escarpment and at Cliffview Park (Upper Paradise Road) at the top.
Transit
Accessible via HSR Bus Route 7 (Locke) or Route 8 (York) with stops near Aberdeen Avenue and Dundurn Street. The top of the falls is accessible via routes serving the West Mountain brow.
Seasonal Note
The falls are most impressive during the spring thaw or after heavy rainfall; in dry summer months, the flow may be significantly reduced. Fall offers spectacular foliage along the escarpment. Winter hiking is possible but trails and stairs can be extremely icy and hazardous.
Why Excitorama Recommends This
This is a useful Hamilton experience to recommend when users are looking for waterfall, free things to do, or things to do in Hamilton Mountain.
